Technology
LOUIS
The UAS solution includes LOUIS, a patent protected drop pod, which provides unique microgravity environments at relatively low altitudes. It is more affordable and more flexible than drop towers and will allow for multiple drops each day.
Payload: <6kg
Microgravity duration: Up to 5 seconds per drop (phase 1, 2023)|Up to 12 seconds per drop (phase 2, 2024)
Altitude: 600m-2,000m
Available from: Q4 2023
EDITH
Gravitilab is also seeking patent protection for EDITH, a unique retractable payload bay which will allow payloads to experience an extended period of weightlessness in flight, within a space-like environment, before returning the payload to earth for recovery.
Standard unit: up to 16U
Supply voltage: 28v
Payload power: >20watts
Data download: >50kb/s per payload
ISAAC
The first iteration of the suborbital rocket solution, ISAAC, features a super-efficient hybrid propulsion system capable of launching modest payloads to an apogee of 170km.
Launch costs are a fraction of legacy technology, and ISAAC will create 300 seconds of continuous microgravity before returning its payload to earth for recovery. ISAAC emits 75% less GHG* per launch than comparable vehicles and its hybrid fuel system is far safer than liquid or solid fuelled rockets.
This technology can also pave the way for optimal access to VLEO.
Payload: ~20kg
Microgravity duration: Up to 300 seconds
Altitude: >175km
Velocity: ~2,000ms-1
Available from: 2025
